Freeze-thaw cycles are hard on concrete in this region: water gets into a hairline crack in November and by March it's a spalled, crumbling edge. Small concrete repairs done early are cheap; the same problems ignored for a few winters become full replacements.
Our concrete work is residential-scale: repairing cracked sidewalk sections and driveways aprons, rebuilding crumbling steps and stoop edges, pouring small pads for AC units, trash cans, sheds, and grills, setting fence and mailbox posts, and filling and sealing cracks before winter. Steps are the job we most often get called for, and the one most worth doing right: a crumbling step edge is a trip hazard, and a proper repair rebuilds the edge with bonded material rather than smearing patch over dust. Where settling or tree roots have destroyed a slab beyond patching, we'll say so — and demolition and haul-away of the old slab is something we do too.

Can a cracked sidewalk section be repaired, or does it need replacing?
Hairline and stable cracks can be filled and sealed. Sections that have heaved, sunk, or shattered are better replaced — a patch won't hold across moving pieces. We'll tell you which situation you have.
How long before I can use new concrete?
Foot traffic after 24–48 hours; keep vehicles off for about a week. Full strength takes roughly 28 days, and we'll give you specifics for your repair.
Do you pour shed and AC pads?
Yes — small pads are core work for us: excavation, gravel base, forms, pour, and finish sized to your equipment.
What time of year is best for concrete work in the DMV?
Spring through fall. Concrete shouldn't be poured in freezing weather, so late-season crack sealing is smart — it keeps winter water out of the concrete you have.
